Because of my recent surgery, I’ve had quite a bit of time to catch up on some YouTube. As I finished a video a suggested video popped up about Kumiko from a fella named Mike Farrington. Like many of you reading this I’d never heard of Mike. Since I’m such a fan of Kumiko I definitely wanted to see the video. I was amazed at what I saw, a super quality video with incredible instruction and skill. Once the video was over I realized it had 250K views. I knew I wanted to see more from this craftsman so I went to his channel and started watching all his videos. I soon learned that Mike was more than just a woodworker. He was a true lover of woodworking with an incredible shop and wonderful pieces of machinery. After watching the videos Mike had, I was looking for more. I knew I needed to get Mike on the podcast and find out more about who he was and where he came from.
On this episode Mike shares his schooling, his past work experience and how he decided on custom furniture as a career. Mike also tells us about his move from San Diego to Denver and how he and his family found the perfect home. All this and more on episode 057 of The Green Woodworker Podcast.
